Are you a creative, hands-on Sous Chef with a passion for beautiful, bespoke catering?
Do you thrive in a fast-paced events environment where food must impress not just the palate, but also the eye?

The Feather Hill Boutique Hotel is seeking a Catering Sous Chef for our events kitchen – someone who brings excellence, elegance, and energy to every plate.

🌟 What We’re Looking For:
✅ Strong culinary background in premium, petite-style catering – not just bulk production
✅ A keen eye for presentation and detail – every canapé must be photo-ready
✅ Thorough understanding of costings, procurement, and kitchen financials
✅ Ability to custom-create menus that work with our current equipment and event scope
✅ A confident communicator who can upsell menus during client site inspections (weddings, conferences, etc.)
✅ Experience in training and mentoring junior staff
✅ Calm under pressure – able to manage both small and large functions (average 100 pax, occasional 400 pax)
✅ Excellent administrative and planning skills
✅ Must be hands-on and operational – not just giving orders from the pass

💼 Job Details:
Full-time position based in Potchefstroom

Includes 21 days annual leave

Performance-based incentive bonus structure

Salary aligned with industry standard

You must have your own transport and accommodation

Sober habits and professional kitchen conduct are non-negotiable
